4Site, the labour management tool that saves time and money for construction firms, is to become a paid-for service for new business users. It will remain free to use for operatives.
Two years after launch, the software is now used by dozens of construction firms and thousands of operatives every day. Developed by Hudson to help firms manage their on-site labour resource, 4Site gives managers real-time visibility of who is on site and for how long, eliminates the need to chase paper timesheets and allows safety documents to be signed without visiting sites.
For operatives, the app uses familiar facial recognition and fingerprint technology, keeping everything secure in a virtual wallet where they can manage all their projects, including time logged, skills cards, certificates and payments.
Following rigorous testing on construction sites across the UK, Hudson is introducing a fee for new business users. Hudson clients that signed up before April will continue to enjoy free access. New business users will pay a fee, with a discount available for Hudson clients.
Managing director Ian Anfield said: “4Site has been road-tested in the real world by thousands of operatives and dozens of companies, and it has proved its value.
“There are other tools on the market that offer similar services, and a number of our clients already have systems in place. However, 4Site is genuinely market-leading software and we are getting great feedback from clients which have moved over from older technologies.
“Most commonly we hear that other platforms try to do too much and end up doing none of it properly, they are oversold on theoretical savings, and they have high set-up costs. 4Site
avoids all these issues.”
The managing director of a leading West Midlands groundworks and civil engineering firm said: “We have had the pleasure of using 4Site for around eight months now. It has not only helped us streamline our payment system and site costing, but it has also enabled us to send relevant documentation and information directly to our operatives hassle-free. We can’t fault the service they provide — highly recommended.”
