Apprenticeship Survey: Tell us what you think – and win a £50 John Lewis Voucher!

9th December 2015 | Hudson Contract

We all know apprenticeships are key to the future of construction – but are we sitting on a ticking time bomb?  We’ve been speaking to some of the employers we support through the Hudson Contract Apprenticeship Scheme, and discovered that many are concerned about the impact of the National Living Wage, which means that as of April, they will have to pay apprentices aged 25+ will £7.20 an hour.

Whilst there’s general recognition that the NLW is a positive move for employees, some small firms are beginning to wonder if they can afford to keep their older apprentices on when the new regulations come in.

Against this backdrop, we are trying to gauge a national picture of how many apprentices could be affected.  We’d be grateful if you’d complete our one-minute survey.  Anyone can take part – you don’t need to be employing apprentices.  And to encourage response, all participants will be entered into a prize draw at 5pm on Friday 18th December 2015, with a £50 John Lewis voucher for the winner.
