CIS Helplines & Contact Numbers
28th August 2015 | Hudson Contract
There’s a wealth of information published about the Construction Industry Scheme, and much of it is online, on the HMRC website.
Even a quick look will tell you that CIS is complicated, and often difficult to know what is expected of you in order to comply with the rules and regulations.
Happily, there’s a proven short cut. The easiest way to proceed is to talk to Hudson Contract. Were happy to explain what you need to do to keep on the right side of CIS and HMRC. No hard-sell. No pressure. Just answers to your questions, so you can make an informed decision about self-employment on your sites.

All contractors who use labour-only subcontractors on their sites are obliged to register for CIS. New businesses can register at the same time as they register for self-assessment.
More information here: gov.uk/what-you-must-do-as-a-cis-contractor/how-to-register
The Gov.uk website also allows you to file your CIS monthly returns online, and you can also ask for advice by email to: email@example.com
HMRC will do their utmost to help you understand how CIS works and what you must do to be compliant. Ultimately, however, it is your responsibility to comply with the regulations, and ignorance is no defence.
At Hudson Contract, we are always helpful to advise you and walk you through the complexities of CIS, in order to ensure you can use vital – and legitimate – self-employed labour on your sites.
