David Harris

David Harris is our regional account manager for South East and South London. He serves construction clients ranging from one-man bands to large contractors with more than 1,000 operatives. Their projects include domestic refurbishments, large-scale house-building schemes, high-rise reinforced concrete structures and major infrastructure programmes. David has 35 years’ industry experience in technical sales and support, joining us in 2011.

He says the main issues facing construction firms are balancing the ever-growing burden of compliance in areas such as health and safety, supply chain due diligence and tax, while staying focused on winning work and getting paid. David addresses these issues by providing mock CIS inspections, payroll management and clear support on compliance.

A recent success involved a well-established commercial electrical contractor in Kent which had a significant tax liability within its labour arrangements due to a lack of understanding of the rules. David identified the gap, explained the risks and brought the operatives into compliant arrangements through Hudson, eliminating the exposure and providing peace of mind.

Before joining Hudson, David worked for a crane hire company and power tool manufacturer. He is based in South London and outside work, he’s a keen walker and Liverpool FC fan, and spends time with his three grandchildren.
