What we do
Hudson Contract saves you money and gives you greater flexibility by engaging your workforce on a self-employed basis. Equally important, our clients eliminate their tax and employment risk.
“I’m David Jackson, Managing Director of Hudson Contract. Find out why ‘Once You Say, We Pay’ is key to eliminating your HMRC compliance risks.”
We enable you to eliminate Employers’ National Insurance, holiday pay, grievance procedures, and all the other time-and-money-swallowing red tape attached to hiring your workforce.
- YOU negotiate the rates, and select the people you want us to contract and pay
- YOU tell us who to pay, how much to pay and when to pay
- WE contract the freelance operatives who work on your sites
- WE contract, pay and issue pay slips and tax statements
(We are not an agency, managed service company, or umbrella provider, so we don’t find or recruit operatives on your behalf. You continue to pick and choose the people you want on your projects at all times.)
Easy for you to administer
Doing business with Hudson Contract is simple and straightforward:
- We issue you with our internet-linked payroll software and a bundle of operative contracts.
- Your operatives (existing or new starts) sign our contracts and you post them to us.
- Using our software, you instruct us who to pay, when to pay and how much to pay. Just give us your instructions and money two days ahead of your pay date.
- We pay the operatives by BACS, and send them a tax statement.
- We send you a VAT invoice for your records.
Who can Hudson Contract pay?
Anyone involved in the construction process who falls within the limits of CIS. (The only exceptions are apprentices, clerical staff, senior managers and directors.)
We’ll help you reclassify your current PAYE people – and pay those who are already self-employed on your behalf.
And you can ask Hudson Contract to pay one, all, or as many of your workers as you choose.
How much does it cost?
Most Hudson Contract clients pay £16 per operative per week.
And to give you the flexibility you need, there are no set-up or cancellation fees. So if you use ten self-employed operatives next week, the cost will be £160 – and if the following week you only need five subbies, the fee drops to £80.
Guaranteed.
